The WAN Network High Availability feature ensures uninterrupted connectivity and reliability for wide area network (WAN) infrastructure. When configured, Secure Edge will monitor network connections and, in case of link failures, will switch to backup links to minimize service disruption.
To enable WAN Network High Availability (WAN-HA) for an iNode, use the following steps.
Make sure you have enabled multiNIC mode for your iNode.
Select the Edge iNode and then select the Interfaces page.
Select the interface you want to add to the WAN group, and then on the top-right corner of the Interfaces page, select Edit
Once the interface is in editing mode, you can modify the values in the Assign To column. Change the corresponding Interface group from TAN/FLOATING to WAN, and then select Save.
Confirm the interface group reassignment.
After confirmation, the iNode will reboot to update the new configuration. Once its status shows as ALIVE, you will observe that within the WAN-HA group, the interface that is currently carrying traffic is designated with the ACTIVE status. The additional interface(s) in the configuration will show an UP status when connected. You can select the tool tip on the Link Status column to open a legend for future reference.
